A Century of Celebration
The Coco Plum Woman's Club is a historic women's organization and a recognized landmark located at 1375 Sunset Drive in Coral Gables, Florida.
Founded in 1912 with just eight members, the club was named after the local cocoplum fruit. Its Mediterranean Revival-style clubhouse, designed by Howard & Early and constructed by the Knight Construction Company, was built in 1926 and is considered a historic place of significance.
Over the decades, the club has served the community in various capacities, including as a library, social venue, clinic, and preschool. The club was particularly active during the World Wars, with its Red Cross efforts in World War II earning widespread praise throughout Florida.
Today, this historic landmark continues to play a role in the community, with the iconic clubhouse serving as a reception hall for private events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate functions.
